Acupuncture is a 5000 year old Chinese art of healing that involves the insertion of very fine, sterile, disposable needles into specific parts of the body. This technique stimulates and activates the body's immune and healing systems for therapeutic purposes or to relieve pain or produce regional anesthesia.

Acupuncture is a holistic approach to health that is based upon the philosophy that our bodies function through channels of energy. This energy is believed to run through different pathways. When this energy is blocked or out of balance pain or disease results. Acupuncture facilitates the flow of this energy through the body creating harmony by inserting a one time use sterile, disposable needle into specific points to achieve the desired effect.

Holistic Health is a system of health care that accentuates personal responsibility and a cooperative relationship between therapist and client. Nutrition is one of the key factors to attaining optimal health and well-being.  The aim of Holistic Nutrition is to unify the physical, nutritional, environmental, emotional and spiritual components of the client’s life. These, together with correct lifestyle changes, promote healing and well-being. Danielle is presently attending the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN) to provide professional nutrition advice to those who seek a new and dynamic approach to achieving a lifestyle that is fulfilling, balanced, nourished and, above all, whole.

Massage therapy is one of the oldest methods of healing, as the practice of therapeutic massage can be traced back nearly 4,000 years. Statistics from both Health Canada 1 and the American Massage Therapy Association 2 show that millions of North Americans use it today.

Massage therapy refers to a comprehensive health management strategy focusing on the application of various techniques to positively affect the soft tissues and joints of the body. Massage techniques most commonly include pressure and compression, kneading, frictioning, and mobilizing to improve the health and condition of the muscles, tendons, skin, fascia or connective tissue of the body.

Today massage is thought of as a holistic therapy that complements medical treatment. The "Physician's Guide to Therapeutic Massage" shows that massage can decrease pain, improve range of motion, improve mood, aid in the circulation of blood and lymph flow, reduce muscle and joint soreness, and improve sleep.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture or Cosmetic Acupuncture is a painless, non surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process using acupuncture needles to decrease and eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face. Includes mini facial. Relax and unwind and get the refreshed rejuvenated look you’ve always wanted. There is a minimum of 12 treatments to achieve the desired effect, with regular monthly visits for maintenance.
These treatments improve circulation of the face and body, bringing nutrients to the skin and removing metabolic toxins. Facial Acupuncture has been shown to increase collagen production and aids in collagen dispersal thus helping to firm the skin and fill out wrinkles. Fine lines may be entirely eliminated and deeper wrinkles diminished. Improved muscle tone and dermal contraction helps firm jowls and minimize double chins. Improved fluid metabolism reduces bags under the eyes and lifts droopy eyelids. Other likely results include: moisturizing of the skin with increased local circulation of blood and lymph to the face; tightening of the pores; brightening of the eyes; improving of hormonal balance to help acne; reduction of stress evident in the face, bringing out your innate beauty and radiance.

Hypnosis is a safe, relaxing, enjoyable, educational and effective way to make positive changes in your life.  During a  session, you will be guided into a very relaxed state where your brain wave activity is very low.  In this relaxed state, your subconscious mind is more open to new ideas, new ways of thinking, and new ways of being.  And suggestion becomes more powerful.  Hypnosis harnesses and focuses this natural state of mind to help you alter your behaviours, attitudes, and beliefs to make positive changes in your life so you can achieve your goals.

Reflexology is a focused pressured technique, usually directed at the feet or hands.  It is based  in the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which correspond to and are related to all parts, glands, or organs of the entire body.  Manipulating the specific reflexes removes stress, activating a response on the body to enable the blockages to be released by a physiological change in the body.  With stress removed and circulation enhanced, the body is allowed to return to a state of homeostasis ("normal" state).

Craniosacral Therapy is a light-touch manual approach that enhances the body’s natural healing capabilities. The CranioSacral Therapy practitioner essentially helps the body release restrictions – which it has been unable to overcome on its own – that inhibit the body’s normal, self-correcting tendencies. Rather than deciding how these changes should be made, the therapist follows cues from the body on how to proceed. When the therapist follows this gentle approach, the method is extremely safe and effective.
